Team TBR is an educational initiative with a STEM theme run by enthusiasts within Tor Bridge High, Plymouth. We are competing in the Greenpower F24 racing class for 2014 and beyond, and cannot do this without your generous support. The green energy theme, and engineering context make the Greenpower challenge relevant and motivational for our young people. As this is not a school funded intitiative we aim to independently raise the funds to not only compete this year, but to develop and raise our aspirations for future success in the F24 Class.

 

The basic cost of building and running a car for a year is around £3K and we aim to reach this goal with your support to get the project off the ground in 2014.

 

The future development of the team is wholly dependent on the involvement of local business and enthusiasts who believe in engineering as an educational and motivational theme. We aim to promote local business and provide an industry - education link with a purpose.

 

In the next phase of our development we will be needing support with

• Supply of materials and help with manufacture of chassis parts. (alloys)

• Technical help and supply of materials for GRP or Carbon lay up bodywork.

• Electrical expertise with 24V variable drive system.
